Samburu Budget Lodge Safari, Samburu is also home to the third
of Kenya's giraffe species - the rare Reticulated Giraffe only
found in kenya's Northern parks. This is also where you see the
blue-legged Somali Ostrich the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and
the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope and Samburu cultural
tour.
Day 1 Nairobi Samburu
Drive north through to the northern frontier district and on to
Samburu National Reserve. Afternoon game drive in this reserve
famous for its exclusive game viewing. Dinner and overnight at
Samburu Sopa Lodge
Day 02: Samburu Game Reserve
Full day at Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives.
A wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu Game
Reserve. Several species are considered unique to the region,
including its unique dry-country animal life: All three big
cats, lion, cheetah and leopard, can be
found here, as well as elephants, buffalos,Uaso Nyiro river
contains large numbers of Nile crocodile.Other mammals
frequently seen in the park include gerenuk, Grant's gazelle,
Kirk's dik-dik, impala, waterbuck, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx and
reticulated
giraffe
Over 400 species of bird. These include Somali ostrich,
grey-headed kingfisher, sunbirds, bee-eaters, marabou stork,
tawny eagle, bateleur, vulturine guineafowl, lilac-breasted
roller, palm nut vulture, red-billed hornbill, secretary bird,
Verreaux's eagle, superb starling, yellow-billed hornbill and
vultures. Overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge
Day 3: Samburu - Nairobi;
Pre-breakfast game drive, after breakfast depart for Nairobi
arriving in the afternoon where the tour ends.
